Candlelight Christmas Eve Service at Galatia
All are welcome to the Candlelight Christmas Eve Service at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 24 at Galatia Presbyterian Church. The church is located at 78 Gala Loop Road, Eagle Rock.
Buchanan Food Pantry open Saturday
The last Buchanan Presbyterian Church Food Pantry distribution for 2025 will be held Saturday, Dec. 20, from 9:30 till 11 a.m. The church is located at 19559 Main Street, Buchanan. Volunteers from the church will be distributing meat, milk, cereal, crackers, and canned goods to anyone who needs food.
The next food distribution will be January 10, 2026.
Healing service at Fincastle Presbyterian
Fincastle Presbyterian Church will host a Wholeness and Healing service on Wednesday, Dec. 17. All are invited. This is a short prayer service of quiet, music, and prayer followed by a time of fellowship with a light supper. Meet in the Fellowship Hall at 5 p.m., 108 E. Back Street in Fincastle.
FUMC Clothes Closet open Saturday
Fincastle United Methodist’s Clothes Closet will be open on Saturday, Dec. 20, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., in the Family Life Center, 137 S. Church Street. Donations of gently worn, clean clothing and shoes also will be accepted.
Cloverdale Thrift Store Bag Sale
The Bag Sale is back! On the first three Saturdays in December, fill a bag with clothes and shoes for $5. Christmas items are priced separately. Gently used donations are welcome. The store is open Saturdays, 9 to 12.
