Buchanan Presbyterian Christmas Eve service
Buchanan Presbyterian Church invites all ages to the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24. It will include Scripture, carols, special music, and sharing God’s light.
Troutville Brethren Christmas Eve service
Join the Troutville Church of the Brethren on Christmas Eve at 5:30 for a candlelight service. The church is located at 5133 Lee Highway in Troutville.
Eagle Rock Charge Christmas Eve service
The Eagle Rock United Methodist Church Charge invites everyone on Christmas Eve, December 24, at 2 p.m. for the story of Christmas and joyful caroling. Light refreshments will be served immediately following the service. It will be held at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 519 Shiloh Drive Eagle Rock.
Valley View Baptist Christmas Eve service
Valley View Baptist Church will have a candlelight service Christmas Eve at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Fincastle Presbyterian special services
Fincastle Presbyterian Church has announced a calendar of special services for the remainder of the year:
- Wednesday, December 18 is the special Wholeness and Healing service at 5 p.m. to spend time in community with prayer, music and silence. Following this short service a light supper is available.
- Sunday, December 22 is the fourth Sunday of Advent and will feature the Advent readings, and the lighting of the Advent Candle of Love. This is a special Sunday in the life of Fincastle Presbyterian to worship with the annual Lessons and Carols Service, a service of scriptures and music. This year, Two Scales, a multi-instrumental duo (Chloe and Stewart Scales) will perform traditional carols and Celtic music on harp, cello and guitar. They will join Music Director Lori Turner in leading music for this service.
- Tuesday, December 24 is the Christmas Eve service, featuring the Back Street Ringers hand bell choir. n addition to the bells, soloist Lynne Bolton will be adding a special element to a joyful Christmas Eve service.
All services, except the Wednesday Wholeness and Healing service, are live-streamed at https://www.facebook.com/fincastlepresbyterianchurch/. Live-streaming starts at 10:20 a.m. and the Sunday services start at 10:30 a.m. Services can be attended in person at 108 E. Back Street, Fincastle.

Sale at Cloverdale Thrift Store
Cloverdale Church of the Brethren Thrift Store has a large selection of sweaters and jackets for the entire family. Start Christmas decorating – the store has lots of antique and collectible ornaments available. Hours are 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday. Donations are greatly appreciated.
Springwood Baptist Christmas Eve service
Springwood Baptist Church invites the public to a special Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on Wednesday, December 24, at 5:30 p.m. The service will be led by Pastor Mike Anderson.
Glade Creek Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
Glade Creek Baptist Church will host its annual Christmas Eve Carols and Candlelight Service on Tuesday, December 24 at 4 p.m. Everyone from the community is invited to take part in this special service that will be held in the historic chapel.
