Springwood Food Pantry open Jan. 21
The Springwood Baptist Food Pantry will be open on Saturday, Jan. 21 from 9-10:30 a.m. The pantry is located at 88 Copps Hill Road, Buchanan. This pantry is a drive through pantry, so clients may remain in their cars and volunteers will load the food for them.
The pantry is open each month on the third Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. It is a partner with Feeding America Southwest Virginia and anyone in need of food is invited.
Free movie at PleasantDale
January 28 is Movie Night at PleasantDale Church of the Brethren. The movie will be “Miracles from Heaven.”
Free hot dogs, chips, and drinks will be available downstairs beginning 4 p.m. The free movie, along with free popcorn, begins at 5 p.m.
Inclement weather date is the following Saturday, Feb. 4.
Upcoming trips with Joyful Journey Club
The Joyful Journey Travel Club of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Daleville, invites you to join them on their trips for 2023. This is an outreach ministry geared for older adults but any age is welcome. Grandparents sometimes bring their grandchildren along and parents sometimes bring their children along.
