Church of the Brethren Thrift Shop open Saturdays
The Thrift Shop at Cloverdale Church of the Brethren is open with new merchandise and the same low prices each Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. It has clothes for the entire family, women, men, girls, preteen, and boys, all at the low price of $1 or $2 each. Name brands shoes are only $1 and a large selection of jewelry, only 50 cents each. It also carries household items, movies and children’s toys. Donations are welcome.
Upcoming activities at Pleasant Hill Baptist
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will be doing a series on “Wellness” in June and will explore biblical teachings on spiritual, physical, mental and emotional health. Pleasant Hill Baptist will be offering the “Experiencing God” Bible study on Thursdays, July 7-September 22, from 6:15-7:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Dive into this 12-session Bible study and see how God’s word applies to your life.
Pleasant Hill will host a CPR & AED Training Course on Tuesday, August 2 at 6 p.m. Cathy Cockrell, with Agenacare Community Medicine, will be instructing on use of the AED, CPR for adults, children and infants, as well as basic trauma care. Vacation Bible School at St. Mark’s
St. Mark’s United Methodist in Daleville will be hosting a “Monumental “ Vacation Bible School for children 4 years old to rising 6th graders July 11-15 from 6-8:30 each evening. Children will experience the story of Joseph, the dreamer, and the Easter story. There will be music, games, refreshments , crafts and storytelling. To register a child, go to stmarksmethodist.com.
