Final ‘Celebration by the River’ tonight
The final “Celebration by the River” program, sponsored by the Buchanan Area Ministerial Association, begins at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 8. The primarily musical event, with Trinity Tree Bluegrass, will be held at the Buchanan Flea Market Grounds, 19064 Main Street. Everyone is welcome.
Church of the Brethren Thrift Shop open Saturdays
The Thrift Shop at Cloverdale Church of the Brethren is open with new merchandise and the same low prices each Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. It has clothes for the entire family, women, men, girls, preteen, and boys, all at the low price of $1 or $2 each. Name brands shoes are only $1 and a large selection of jewelry, only 50 cents each. It also carries household items, movies and children’s toys. Donations are welcome.
Cave Rock Baptist Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School will be held at Cave Rock Baptist Church June 15 and 16 from 7- p.m. All are invited to hear the experiences of people who Jesus met throughout his life on earth.
The church is located at 2233 Stoney Battery Road in Troutville.
Upcoming activities at Pleasant Hill Baptist
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will be doing a series on “Wellness” in June and will explore biblical teachings on spiritual, physical, mental and emotional health.
