Our Savior Lutheran Church invites community to open house

Celebrating more than a year of excavation and building, the faith family at Our Savior welcomes the community to an open house gathering at the new home at 9068 Cloverdale Road in Troutville on Friday, March 31, from 5 to 8 p.m.

The faith family invites the community to take a tour, enjoy a scavenger hunt, or walk the fledgling grounds. Check out the family-friendly book fair, and kids crafts and stay for hot dogs, chips and selection of desserts. The low-key evening will invite opportunity to chat and explore while meeting new friends.  The new building brings a new worship space as well as community gathering space and education anchor point to Troutville and Botetourt County.

“We thank our Lord for the many blessings He has provided to make this project possible,” congregation president Dwight Luedtke said. “We pray that this facility will help us better serve the spiritual and fellowship needs of our neighbors in Botetourt and Roanoke County.

“We are so excited to have a new home where we can welcome others, get to know them and become friends while sharing the love of Jesus. Please come and join us and share in our blessings as we look to meet the needs of our community,” he said.

Our Savior (established in the Roanoke region in 1996) has roots back to 1980s serving this neighborhood in addition to family from the New River Valley, Smith Mountain Lake and Lynchburg. Our Savior is a member of the WELS (Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod) church body. Visit www.oslroanoke.com.
