Second Saturday Free Lunch in Buchanan
Solomon’s Mission on Lowe Street, Buchanan, will have its Second Saturday Free Lunch on May 14 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The lunch, provided by Valley View Baptist Church, will consist of barbecue, slaw, beans, dessert and water. All are invited to the devotion at 11:30.
Springwood Food Pantry open May 21
The Springwood Baptist Food Pantry will be open on Saturday, May 21, from 9-10:30 a.m. The pantry is located at 88 Copps Hill Road, Buchanan. Clients are asked to remain in their cars and food orders will be delivered to them. The pantry is a partner with Feeding America Southwest Virginia and distributes USDA food on the third Saturday of each month to clients. Anyone in need of food is invited to attend.
Church picnic at Galatia May 15
Galatia Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 78 Gala Loop Road, Eagle Rock, will have the church picnic on May 15 at the church pavilion (weather permitting). The worship service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the picnic will directly follow the service. Bring a chair (or you can sit at the picnic tables) and come for good fellowship, food and lots of fun and laughter. Services will be led by Thomas A. Provenzola, Ph.D., who is currently serving Galatia EPC.
Mount Olivet UMC Spring Bazaar May 21
Mount Olivet United Methodist Church will hold its Spring Bazaar from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, May 21. Breakfast and lunch will be available, along with a bake sale. Items made by the Mount Olivet Quilters will for sale.

Eagle Rock Clothes Closet May dates
The Eagle Rock United Methodist Charge Clothes Closet will be open at Eagle Rock United Methodist Church on Wednesday, May 11, 5-6:30 p.m., and Saturday, May 14, 9 a.m.-noon.
The clothes closet has free clothes to anyone in need and all are welcome to take advantage of this opportunity. COVID-19 precautions will be in place.

Donations accepted for upkeep of Mt. Bethel Cemetery
