Troutville Church of the Brethren holding drive-in services

Join Troutville Church of the Brethren at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays through June 29 for a drive-in worship service in the back of the church. The church is located at 5133 Lee Highway. For more information, call 992-1571.

Amishlands trip rescheduled to August 26-28

You are invited to join the Joyful Journey Travel Club of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Daleville to the Sight and Sound Theater in Pennsylvania to see a performance of “Queen Esther.” The price of $431 per person double occupancy (add $99 for a single room) includes: two nights lodging, one dinner at the Hershey Farm Restaurant, one dinner and show at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater, “Queen Esther,” Kreider Farm Tour, visit to Lititz, including the Sturgis Pretzel Bakery & Wilbur Chocolates, Turkey Hill Experience, motorcoach transportation, taxes, meal gratuities, and driver’s tip.

The bus will leave from St. Mark’s UMC at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, and will return between 8 and 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28. Payment in full is due by July 1. Call Julia Greer at 540-330-7933 to request a reservation form. A $25 deposit, nonrefundable unless the trip is cancelled, is required with your registration form. This deposit is part of the $431 price.

Pico Cemetery needs funds

Pico-Styne-Nofsinger Cemetery in Buchanan is in need of funds. Donations are needed to have the cemetery mowed and maintenance done. This is a small cemetery and its caretakers hate to see it go back to an unkempt condition. Send donations to Pico Cemetery Fund, c/o Helen Keith, 515 James River Terrace, Buchanan, 24066.

Donations needed for Mt. Bethel Cemetery

Donations are being accepted for the upkeep of the Mt. Bethel Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The cemetery is located on Rt. 43/Narrow Passage Road near Eagle Rock. Mail donations to Etta Alexander, P.O. Box 5, Eagle Rock, Va. 24085.

Donations sought for Shiloh Cemetery upkeep

Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery is asking those who have loved ones buried in the cemetery or own plots to give donations to help with the upkeep of the cemetery. Please make check payable to Shiloh Cemetery and send donations to: Shiloh Church Cemetery, c/o Sharon Britt, 1281 Salt Petre Cave Road, Eagle Rock, 24085.
