Ebenezer UMC Fall Festival Nov. 22

Ebenezer United Methodist Church will hold it annual Fall Festival on Saturday, Nov. 22, beginning at 8 a.m. The day will include crafts, miscellaneous items for sale, sausage gravy biscuits, hot dogs,baked goods and more. The church is located at 85 Nace Road, Troutville.

 

Healing services at Fincastle Presbyterian

Fincastle Presbyterian Church will host Wednesday Wholeness and Healing services on

Wednesdays, Nov. 19 and Dec. 17.  All are invited.

This is a short prayer service of quiet, music, and prayer followed by a time of fellowship with a light supper.  Meet in the fellowship hall at 5 p.m., 108 E. Back Street in Fincastle.

 

News from Springwood Baptist

An evening service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 16, at Springwood Baptist Church. The service will begin at 7 p.m., led by Pastor Mike Anderson, with Pastor Morris Bennet from Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church bringing the message. All are welcome to attend. The church is located at 88 Copps Hill Road, Buchanan.

All are invited to the Sunday service on Nov. 23 at Springwood Baptist, led by Pastor Mike Anderson. Following the service, there will be a Thanksgiving potluck meal.

 

Cloverdale Thrift Store

Christmas has arrived! The store has sweaters for the holiday, $2; men’s and women’s coats, $5, and name brand boots for $2. Gently used donations are welcome. The store is open Saturdays, 9 to 12.

 

Community Clothes Closet at Eagle Rock

The Eagle Rock Community Clothes Closet at 14565 Church Street, Eagle Rock, will be open Saturday, Nov. 15, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. It has ladies’, men’s and children’s clothing, as well as shoes, household items and toys, all at no charge. Bags are provided and please honor the bag limit posted.

A donation box is now located outside the church. For large donations or to volunteer to help with this mission, contact pastor Ray Sandifer at 540-525-0258.

 

Fincastle UMC Clothes Closet

Fincastle United Methodist’s Clothes Closet will be open on Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Family Life Center, 137 S. Church Street, Fincastle. Donations of gently worn, clean clothing and shoes are accepted during these times.
