Eagle Rock Clothes Closet open dates

The Eagle Rock United Methodist Charge Clothes Closet will be open at Eagle Rock United Methodist Church on the following dates: Saturday, Nov. 7, 9 a.m.-noon; Wednesday, Nov. 10, 5-6:30 p.m.; and Saturday, Nov. 13, 9 a.m.-noon.

The open days have been expanded because the clothes closet has many new clothes, which are free to anyone in need and all are welcome to take advantage of this opportunity. COVID-19 precautions will be in place.

Colonial Baptist holding World Missions Conference

Colonial Baptist Church in Blue Ridge invites everyone to the 35th Annual World Missions Conference November 7-10. Missionaries participating this year serve in The Balkans, Central Asia, India, Jewish Missions, the Middle East, and in Publishing ministries.

Conference times are Sunday: 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 6 p.m.; and Monday-Wednesday at 7 p.m. There is a children’s conference during these times for children ages 3 through grade six, and a nursery is provided.

Contact the church office at 977-5683 for more information. Colonial Baptist Church is located at 221 Hillcrest Street in Blue Ridge, just off Rt. 460W.

 

Bonsack Baptist Craft Expo November 6

Bonsack Baptist Church is holding its annual Craft Expo on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Community Life Center, 4945 Cloverdale Road. It is free to the public.

More than 50 vendors are participating and a variety of items will be sold. An outdoor vendor will sell kettle corn.

Pork barbeque dinner at Springwood Baptist

Springwood Baptist Church will be selling pork barbeque dinners, made by Aaron’s Smokehouse, from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6 at the church. The dinner is $8 for two pork barbeque sandwiches, cole slaw, baked beans and a canned drink. Desserts are extra.

To pre-order, contact Stacey Clark on voicemail at 540-520-2015 with your first and last name and how many dinners you would like. A drive-through will be set up to pick up the meals at different stations at the church. Be sure to pre-order in advance.

 

Pork loin sandwiches at Limestone Park

Limestone Park Ministries will have a pork loin sandwich fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 11 a.m.-to 1 p.m. at the park, 18921 Main Street, Buchanan.

The cost is $10 for the meal that includes pork sandwich, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, a brownie and a bottle of water.  Call 254-1616 or 254-2033 for tickets.

 

Springwood Baptist will have Children’s Festival

Springwood Baptist Church will have a Children’s Fall Festival from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13. The event will include games, prizes, a photo booth, snacks and drinks. Parents must remain with their children during the festival.

 

Lapsleys Run Baptist Homecoming, 153rd anniversary celebration

Lapsleys Run Baptist Church will celebrate the annual Harvest Homecoming and 153rd church anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. David W. Halsey Sr., will be the speaker for the occasion. Dinner will be served after the morning service; no afternoon services are scheduled.
Regular services are held on the second and fourth Sundays of each month. Everyone is invited to attend these and all services at Lapsleys Run Baptist Church, which is located at 608 Zion Hill Road, Fincastle.

 

 

Springwood Baptist Thanksgiving service, meal November 21

Springwood Baptist Church invites the public to its Thanksgiving service at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21, with the Rev. Mike Anderson. There will be a Thanksgiving meal after the service. Bring a vegetable and dessert and enjoy a time to be thankful and to fellowship with one another.

The church is located at 88 Copps Hill Road, Buchanan.
