Pleasant Hill youth going to Scaremare

Pleasant Hill Baptist Youth will be heading to Scaremare in Lynchburg on October 14. The bus will leave PHBC at 6 p.m. and stop to eat along the way. To sign up, call the church line at 540-992-5556 or email to phbcweb@gmail.com.

The Springwood Baptist Food Pantry will be open on Saturday, October 15, from 9-10:30 a.m. The pantry is located at 134 Copps Hill Road, Buchanan.  This pantry is a drive-through pantry, so clients may remain in their cars and volunteers will load the food. The pantry is open each month on the third Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. It partners with Feeding America Southwest Virginia and invites anyone in need of food to visit.

 

Mill Creek fish fry October 15

Mill Creek Baptist Church will hold its fall fish fry on Saturday, October 15 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. The meal will consist of two pieces of fish, parsley potatoes, slaw and hushpuppies for $12 a plate. For those eating in, a beverage will be provided at no additional cost. You may eat-in or carry out. There will also be desserts on sale made by the ladies of the church.

Tickets may be purchased by calling Nancy Epperly, (540) 254-2616; Sue Sweet, (540) 797-2304; or Tommy Moore, (540) 529-5290. It is suggested you reserve ticket/tickets in advance as there will be a limited number at the door for sale.

 

Christmas sale at Cloverdale Thrift Store

Cloverdale Church of the Brethren Thrift Store will have a Christmas in October Sale Saturday, October 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with gifts for everyone in the family, clothes to wear to a Christmas party and gifts for the children, including sweaters and gift bags. Donations are welcome.

 

Daleville Baptist Festival, Trunk-or-Treat

Daleville Baptist Church is hosting a Fall Festival & Trunk-or-Treat on October 30 from 3-5 p.m. Activities will include hayrides, cake walks, and abounce house. Hot dogs, chips, cookies, etc. will be available as supplies last. It’s free fun for the whole family. Daleville Baptist Church is located at 375 Orchard Drive, Daleville.
