Philip Clemmer, 83, of Buchanan, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 23, 2024.
Philip was a Master Electrician and carpenter by trade, and loved to hunt, was an avid gardener, and playing the guitar especially Gospel music. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Crawford Clemmer and Dollie Alberta Goodbar Clemmer; siblings and spouses, Curtis E. and Massie Clemmer, the Rev. W.C. “Bud” and Elizabeth Clemmer, Ferrell and Leslie C. Amos, Virginia C. and Ed Hall, John T. and Joan Clemmer, Natalie and Ronnie McCullough, and Patricia C. Hylton, son, Philip Wayne Clemmer, and daughter-in-law, Teresa Smith Clemmer; and in-laws, Hugh “Jr.” and Dolly Kingery, William Malcolm “Mac” Kingery, and Arnold Kingery.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eleanor Kingery Clemmer; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Jason Lytton; son and daughter-in-law, Sanford and Michelle Clemmer; grandchildren, Ethan Clemmer, Tanner Clemmer, Stephen and Kayla Cochran, William Cochran, Lindsey Lytton, and Tristan Lytton; great-grandchildren, Chloe Clemmer and Marshall Cochran; sisters, Bernice Campbell; special friend, Shirley Hood; in-laws, Roena Fowler, Betty Rae Breeden, Paula and Ronnie Page, Gail and Gary Aaron; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family received family and friends on Friday, December 27, 2024 from noon to 2 p.m. in the Buchanan Chapel of the Botetourt Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life Service following the visitation at 2 p.m. with Pastor Michael Tabor officiating.
