Steve Clinton, candidate for the Amsterdam seat on the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors, has announced a series of neighborhood forums to be held throughout the Amsterdam District during the month of August.
The series, entitled “Answers for Amsterdam,” is an opportunity for citizens to share their ideas and their concerns, with the candidate and with each other, the announcement said.
“These are citizen comment meetings,” Clinton said. “They are not political rallies. I will be listening to the views of the citizens. Together, we will be building a lasting framework for open dialogue between the citizens and local government. My 15 years on the Board of Supervisors demonstrated to me that an atmosphere of approachability and open conversation is crucial to effective county government.”
The series will include four forums – two for the Daleville Voter Precinct and two for the Greenfield Voter Precinct. The schedule is:
- Citizens living in the Daleville Precinct (including citizens living at The Glebe): Tuesday, August 15 and Thursday, August 17. Both meetings will be held at St Mark’s United Methodist Church Family Life Center, Cedar Ridge Drive, Daleville, from 7-8:30 p.m.
- Citizens living in the Greenfield Precinct: Thursday, August 24 and Tuesday, August 29. Both meetings will be held at the VFW Hall, 4902 Roanoke Rd, Daleville, from 7:30-9 p.m.
