The Botetourt County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office will present “An Ounce of Prevention AND a Pound of Cure: Fraudsters, Scammers and Con Artists” in hopes to spreading information to help prevent folks from falling prey to telephone and internet scams. The program will be held from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, May 18 at the Fincastle Library.
The public is encouraged to join Commonwealth’s Attorney John Alexander for information and discussion on the following topics:
• Learn how to protect yourself from being victimized
• Learn what to do and expect if it does happen
• Geared toward seniors focusing on financial scams and frauds
• Medication safety and traffic safety
