A Community Health Fair will be held in Buchanan from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, May 11.
Sponsored by Solomon’s Mission, it will be held at its building on Lowe Street.
Presentations will include:
• 10:30 a.m. – Gentle Shepherd Hospice, Tonya Finnerty
• 11:30 a.m. – Virginia Navigator, Cindy Markham
• 12:30 p.m. – Bank of Botetourt on how to protect yourself against scams and identity theft, Rosa Lowe
• 1:15 p.m. – Lively comedy as laughter id good for your health, local “Lilac”
The Buchanan Lions Club will do free eye screens and give away free reading glasses and cases. The Lady Knights softball team will wash cars from 9 a.m. to noon for donations. A free lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
The public is encouraged to attend.
