Buchanan Presbyterian Church will launch a new community speaker series next month with a presentation focused on one of the region’s most treasured natural resources.
Bruce Ingram, a local outdoor writer, photographer and English teacher at Lord Botetourt High School, will present “Fishing and Floating the Upper James River” from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 6, in the fellowship hall at Buchanan Presbyterian Church.
Ingram is known throughout western Virginia for his writing and photography highlighting the region’s rivers, wildlife and outdoor recreation opportunities. His talk will focus on fishing and floating along the Upper James River, offering insights into the area’s natural beauty and recreational opportunities.
The event is part of a newly developed community speaker series organized by a church committee. The series is intended to provide educational and engaging programs for the wider Buchanan community.
The presentation is open to the public. Admission is free.
