The world is currently reacting to the rapid spread of a viral infection known as COVID-19, or coronavirus. Locally, Botetourt County officials have also been monitoring this situation, trying to analyze credible information sources and determine the probability of risk to the county and its citizens and visitors.
As a result, out of an abundance of caution and in accordance to Governor Northam’s Stay at Home order, the Botetourt County administrative offices will remain closed to the public through Wednesday, June 10, due to public health concerns with COVID-19. Essential landfill, maintenance, custodial, central garage, and inspection staff and public safety personnel will remain in place during the closure. Non-essential staff will be working remotely.
Employees of the Constitutional Officers, Courts, and Social Services may follow different closure guidelines.
