Last Thursday, the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors recognized county employees for their milestone years of service. County Administrator Gary Larrowe and Deputy County Administrator David Moorman presented the acknowledged employees in attendance with recognition certificates.
Board Chairman Mac Scothorn presented with a special award of recognition to Deputy Clerk to the Board Susan Fain for her 41-1/2 years of service. The December meeting was Fain’s last as an acting clerk. During Fain’s tenure, she worked under five county administrators.
“On behalf of the entire Board of Supervisors, present and past, I want to express my sincere appreciation to Susan for her loyalty to Botetourt County over 41 and a half years and wish her much happiness as she begins an exciting new chapter in life,” Scothorn expressed during an official proclamation that recognized December 21, 2021, as “Susan Fain Day” in Botetourt County.
