Residents will have an opportunity to learn more about the future of the historic Botetourt  Courthouse in Fincastle and the surrounding Courthouse Square during a community update scheduled later this month.

Rich Evans, Botetourt County’s capital projects manager, will lead “Courthouse Conversations,” a public discussion focused on the ongoing Botetourt Courthouse project. The event will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. Jan. 26 at the Fincastle Library.

Evans is expected to provide an overview of current construction progress and outline upcoming phases of the project. The presentation will also highlight new technology being incorporated into the courthouse improvements, as well as the county’s long-term vision for Courthouse Square.

Organizers say the event is designed to keep residents informed and engaged as work continues on one of the county’s most prominent civic landmarks. Community members will have the chance to hear directly from county staff and gain insight into how the project will serve both current needs and future generations.

The event is free and open to the public.
