The Roanoke City and Alleghany Health Districts, with assistance from Botetourt County Fire & EMS, held a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Health Department Office in Fincastle on Friday, Jan. 29. This clinic primarily targeted individuals 75 years old and older who had already expressed interest in receiving the vaccine through the Health Department. The current efforts are to focus on making sure the most vulnerable people, especially those 75 years old and older, receive the vaccine first. As supply of the vaccine increases, the Health Department looks forward to getting vaccine doses out into the public more broadly.
