Almon Wayne (Wally/Pops) Cox, 87, of Natural Bridge, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Jesse Cox; and two brothers, Junior Cox and Harry Cox. He retired from Roanoke Cement Plant after 30 plus years.
Surviving are his son, Steve and Rhonda Cox and their children, Kallie Blake (Matt) and Katie Watts (David); daughters and son-in-law, Carol and Mike Deisher and their daughter, Taylor Deisher (Bryan Campbell); Elizabeth Whittaker (Mitchell Cundiff) and her children, Sarah Griffin (Chris), Laura Tuttle (Evan) and Marcus Whittaker; great-grandchildren, Kori Blake, Maci Blake, Bynlee Watts and Maddie Watts.
A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025 in the Jones Family Cemetery in Burnt Chimney. The family received friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey’s East Chapel, 540-977-3909.
