Todd Turner, the originator and president of the Collegiate Sports Associates, will be the featured speaker at the Roanoke Valley Sports Club meeting on Monday, July 31, at the Salem Civic Center.
Meeting activities begin at 5:45 p.m. with the dinner at 6 p.m. and speaker at 6:45 p.m.
In 2010, Turner formed the Collegiate Sports Associates to serve the unique needs of athletic programs at NCAA Division I universities and conferences across America. In the first six years, CSA developed an extensive client base that included over 75 NCAA Division I schools, conferences and affiliated organizations.
Turner began his career in collegiate sports administration at the University of Virginia (1976-1987). He served as Director of Athletics at the University of Connecticut (3 years), NC State University (6 years), Vanderbilt University (7 years) and the University of Washington (4 years).
Turner received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from the University of North Carolina in 1973, and in 1976, he earned a MED in Sports Administration from Ohio University.
