Cub Scouts with Pack 211 attended the Webelos to Woods campout September 30 and October 1 at the Ward Haven Retreat Center.
The Mingo chapter of Tutelo Lodge, Order of the Arrow, hosted the campout and provided outdoor skills programs for the Cub Scouts. Skills included orienteering, rappelling, campfire building and safety, pocketknife safety and wilderness survival. The Scouts enjoyed a campfire on Saturday evening and roasted marshmallows.
St. Mark’s United Methodist Church sponsors Cub Scouts Pack 211, which regularly meets at the church in Daleville on the first Monday and third Friday of every month, with an additional weekend outing every month. Interested boys and their families, in the first through fifth grade or in homeschool, should contact Ken McFadyen, Cubmaster, at 540-580-1232, for more information about Scouting and to join Pack 211.
