[PHOTO: Brian Hoffman]Samir Davidov, a 2022 graduate of Lord Botetourt High School, won the 70th Virginia State Golf Association Junior Stroke Play Championship last week at the River Bend Club in Great Falls. Davidov won the event on the second playoff hole to become the first Roanoke Valley golfer to win the event since James River grad Marshall Bailey won in 2006. Davidov will be playing at George Mason University this fall.
