Bertha “Beth” Deel, 69, of Mill Creek, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 26, 2020 at her home.
Beth was born in Roanoke on August 16, 1951 and lived in Mill Creek all of her life. She was the daughter of the late George W. and Thelma J. Ferrell Deel. Beth was a lifetime member of Mill Creek Baptist Church, a graduate of Radford University, and worked at Greenwood Restaurant for 44 years and retired due to the pandemic. She was an avid reader.
Beth is survived by four brothers: William Ferrell Deel of Mill Creek, Grover Randolph “Randy” Deel of Buchanan, John Roland Deel of Roanoke, and James Noland Deel of Fincastle; one niece and three nephews; and one aunt, Wanda Parker of Daleville.
A memorial service honoring Beth’s life will be 7 p.m. Thursday, October 1 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville, with Pastor JR Graybill officiating. A private burial will be at Mill Creek Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
