Jerry Alan Deel, 78, of Fincastle, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph, Sr. and Stella Deel; siblings and spouses, Jim and Betty Deel, Larry “Kent” and Vi Deel, Marlene Smith, Joe Deel, Jr., Dot and Red Ward, and brother-in-law, Jim Hall.
He was the owner/operator of Peaceful Valley Fencing for over 35 years.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lynda Deel; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Andrea Deel; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Phillip Thompson; grandchildren, Rachel and Sam Deel, and Rebecca Thompson; sister, Doris Hall; brother and sisters-in-law, Ray and Joan Deel, Joyce Deel; former sister-in-law, Linda Clifton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2024, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor JR Graybill officiating. The family received friends immediately following the service. Online condolences may be made at www.botetourtfuneralhome.com or 540-254-3000.
