Philip “Shane” Doyle, 37, husband of Krystal Dawn (Benson) Doyle, of Vinson Street, Staunton, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at his residence.
Mr. Doyle was born in Staunton on July 24, 1987, the son of Connie Lee (Balsley) Doyle and the late Gary Donald “Butch” Doyle.
Shane was employed at Envoy of Staunton and enjoyed playing his Xbox, watching movies, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his friends and family. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and Green Bay Packers. Known for his kindness and generosity, Shane was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Surviving, in addition to his mother of Staunton and his wife of Fincastle, are his father- and mother-in-law, Ronnie “R.B.” and Rhonda Benson of Fincastle; a brother-in-law, Adam Benson of Salem; five uncles, Philip Balsley, David Balsley and his wife, Pat, Marvin Balsley and his wife, Linda, Larry Balsley, and Alan Balsley; two aunts, Nancy Doyle and Bernice Shifflett; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 30, in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel, Staunton, by Pastor Lee Thomas. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.
