Continuing The Glebe’s Music in the Mountains series, Dr. Deanne Vance, pianist, will present a solo recital on Saturday, June 9 at 2 p.m. in the Botetourt Room.

Deanne holds a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Piano Performance from Michigan University and is well known in the Roanoke valley as a performer, choral director, organist, teacher, adjudicator and a member of the piano ensemble group, “Carole Edwards and Friends.”

Featured will be a lecture recital on Clair de lune, the complete Moonlight Sonata, pieces by Liszt, Rachmaninoff and others.

The concert will be followed by a gourmet reception. Admission is free with voluntary donations accepted for “God’s Pit Crew.”  Reservations are absolutely necessary as Deanne will only be presenting one performance.
