Dabney S. Lancaster Community College’s 2020 commencement exercises will take place on Saturday, September 12, in two ceremonies, the first one beginning at 10 a.m. and the second one at 2 p.m. Both will take place in the Convocation Center on the DSLCC Clifton Forge campus.
The original date for commencement was May 15, but the college has been closed to the public since mid-March, when the pandemic hit the nation. Classes have been offered online since that time.
“A small task force has determined that we will be able to keep everyone safe by having two ceremonies on that date and the graduates will be limited as to the number of guests they will be able to invite,” announced DSLCC President Dr. John Rainone. “I look forward to celebrating this special day with our students.”
DSLCC 2020 graduates should continue to check their student email for instructions and more information. Anyone who still needs to pick up a cap and gown should contact Rebecca Stover rstover@dslcc.edu.
Both ceremonies will be closed to the general public. For more information, check the DSLCC web site at www.dslcc.edu.
