Botetourt County Public Schools held the Division Spelling Bee on Wednesday, Jan. 10. The division winner is Sonny Sharp, a student at Eagle Rock Elementary School. The runner-up is Anna Weddle from Greenfield Elementary School. The winning word was “pigeon.”
Other school champions who competed in the division competition were Sawyer Lucas from Breckinridge, Caroline Church from Buchanan, Xaiden Wynn from Central Academy, Brennan Lewis from Cloverdale, Brielle Nunley from Colonial, Emily Duncan from Read Mountain, and Strummer Giffin from Troutville.
