Buchanan Dates To Remember
- Buchanan Cherry Blossoms – Looking for a relaxing activity away from the crowds? Buchanan’s cherry trees are busting out with an incredible display of spring flowers. The recent streak of warm days has resulted in Buchanan’s cherry trees opening about a week earlier than projected, one of the earliest bloom dates that the town has experienced in 10 years.
Make a day trip to the Town of Buchanan, enjoy the blooms of Yoshino cherry trees along the town’s Main Street, Lowe Street, Town Park and Boyd Street. The highest concentration of cherry trees is along Lowe Street and the Buchanan Town Park at 485 Lowe Street. Blooms generally last one to two weeks, depending on the weather. Call 254-1212, Ext. 4 for the latest update on bloom progression.
