The Fincastle Frolic Town Tour and Open House will be held from Friday, Aug 11 from 6-9 p.m. in downtown Fincastle.

Historic buildings will be open for tours, including the Botetourt County Courthouse where Clerk of Court Tommy Moore will provide history lectures on Botetourt County.  The Botetourt County Chamber of Commerce will be greeting visitors at the Old Jail and the Botetourt County Office of Elections & Voter Registration also will be open.

The Botetourt Historical Society Museum will be open and Historic Fincastle Inc. will have the James Matten Early Cabin open for visitors to view.

Virginia Mountain Vineyards will be hosting the patio party this year at 1 S. Roanoke Street across from the courthouse and there will be fun for the kids with “Botetourt Rocks” rock painting.

Vendors are also invited to set up at the Farmers Market that will be on S. Roanoke Street.

Live music will be on the street corners, The Bank of Fincastle will be open and the Troutville Sunshine Girls will have free ice cream.

The Fincastle Library will be a highlight again with food, book signings with local authors and this year a DJ will set up with “open mic” night.

The family event is free with “Frolicky Fun” in Fincastle.
