Fincastle Library and Backyard Botetourt will host a showcase of community groups and organizations that support pollinators and pollinator habitat on April 22 from 6:30-8 p.m. Information will be available to homeowners who want to learn more about creating pollinator habitat in their yards, no matter the size. The library will also have a craft for children and pollinator books available for check out.
Organizations scheduled to attend include the Brae and Beck Garden Club, the Glenvar Honey Club, Mountain Castles Soil & Water Conservation District, the Natural Resources Conservation Service, the Botetourt 4-H Bee Club, and the Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners.
Backyard Botetourt is co-sponsored by Mountain Castles Soil & Water Conservation District and Valley Conservation Council. It is held the fourth Monday of the month at the Fincastle Library. For more information about the Butterfly and Bee Fair contact Rhonda Bandy at rbandy@botetourtva.gov.
