Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department announces 2025 Santa Run schedule

The Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department has released its annual Santa Run schedule, bringing holiday cheer to neighborhoods across the community throughout December. All Santa Runs will begin at 6 p.m., with route timing dependent on weather conditions, traffic, and call volume. The department notes that the schedule is subject to change in the event of emergencies or inclement weather, and any make-up dates will be posted on its official Facebook page: Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department – Company 4.

In addition to the nightly routes, families are invited to attend Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department at 25 Vine Street, Fincastle. The event is offered at no cost, though voluntary donations are welcome.

Santa Run Schedule:

December 8
• North Greenfield Street and Ashley Plantation **Excludes Antietam Hill Road, Island Green Road, and Merion Circle, which will be visited by the Troutville Volunteer Fire Department on December 14**

December 9
• Shawnee Trail
• The neighborhoods of Sowder Farm and Sommersby
• Deerfield Road
• Country Club Road from U.S. 220 to Blacksburg Road

December 10
• Nannie’s Market
• Haymakertown Road to Stone Coal Road
• Country Club Road
• Pleasant Hill Baptist Church
• Brunswick Forge Road
• The Neighborhood of Misty Hills
• Huff Road
• Sprinkle Road
• Ridge Trail

December 12
• The Town of Fincastle
• Breckinridge Elementary
• The Neighborhood of Santillane

December 13
• The Neighborhood of Walnut Manor
• Blacksburg Road
• Etzler Road
• The Neighborhoods of Woodridge and Dal-Nita Hills

December 14
• Brughs Mill Road
• Grist Mill Road
• Marjorie Lane
• Ammen Road
• Plantation Drive
• Lugar Lane
• Farmers Road

Residents can follow Santa’s progress each evening by visiting the department’s real-time tracker at FincastleFire.org/SantaTracker.
