Sgt. Heather Finley [SUBMITTED PHOTO]Heather Finley, daughter of Scot and Kathy Finley of Blue Ridge, graduated from the U.S. Army’s Drill Instructor Academy at Fort Jackson, S.C. on Wednesday, August 17. Sgt. Finley is a 2018 graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and a 2022 graduate of Florida State University. Sgt. Finley is the youngest drill sergeant graduate in her class by two years. She is a part of the 317 Cadet Summer Training Unit (104th Training Division) in Salem. She lives in Nashville, Tenn., where she is in management training with Drury Hotels.
