The annual fireworks display has become a family and friend tradition as Burleigh has recruited his sons Daniel and Benjamin to help him along with about 15 additional volunteers.
Burleigh and his crew follow the old school traditions and do everything by hand including setting the fuses and lighting the fireworks. With more than 50 years of experience, Burleigh and his crew have an excellent safety record with no accidents.
Burleigh works with Pyrotechno to order the fireworks early in the year for delivery in time for the carnival. The team take a couple of hours setting up the fireworks, and preparing to ensure a safe show for the public. Each year is a different show requiring lots of behind the scenes planning for the 20-minute show which delights crowds each year.
