The Three Rivers District golfers played the Pete Dye River Course in a match hosted by Radford High last week and the Floyd County team continued to dominate. The Buffaloes shot a team score 315 to finish 16 strokes better than second place Radford.

Floyd has won every round of the Three Rivers regular season tour thus far with the golfers scheduled to tee it up at Roanoke County’s Hanging Rock Golf Club this Thursday. Just 16 strokes separated the next five teams as Alleghany was third at 358, followed by Carroll County at 363, Glenvar at 369, James River at 370, and Patrick County brought up the rear with a 374.

River’s low score was an 80 by Mason Gilliland, followed closely by Landon Bolling at 81. Playing just four golfers, Mason Francis shot 93 and Elizabeth Johnson carded 116 for the Knights.
