Cloverbuds celebrate Halloween in Fincastle
The Botetourt County 4-H Horse and Pony Cloverbuds Club had their annual Halloween party at Rocky Road Farm near Fincastle. Members Ethan Bandy, Carston Trout, and Janna Graham were in attendance with their parents, family members, and friends.
All Cloverbuds came dressed for Halloween fun which started with an activity at the barn with a Shetland pony named Nancy. The Cloverbuds participated in an activity called “knock off the dirt” in which they learned how to clean your pony and the importance of keeping your ponies clean.
When the pony, Nancy, was all clean, the Cloverbuds marched off in a costume parade and ended with a marshmallow roast and a scavenger hunt for model horses. Cloverbuds then brought their horses inside to identify their colors. Treat bags were prepared for all for their long Halloween journey home.
