The Buchanan Area Ministerial Association’s (BAMA) Food Pantry has been moved.
The former location of the BAMA Food Pantry was in the Dill Building of Buchanan Presbyterian Church. But the Food Pantry was in need of more space for its food storage, it needed a private room to share prayer requests and a way to keep guests out of the weather when they stood in line.
So, the church added new shelving to a room in the lower level of its educational wing, added the room for private prayer and is able to use a long hallway which will accommodate guests in cold or heat as they stand in line.
“These are needed upgrades to the food pantry and we are grateful to make this new location available to our community,” church officials said.
The BAMA Food Pantry is open on the second and fourth Saturday of each month from 9-11 a.m.
The four congregations that participate in the food pantry distributions are Buchanan Baptist Church, Buchanan Presbyterian Church, New Beginnings Church and Virginia Presbyterian Church.
