Beale Cemetery
Beale Cemetery is also known as Mt. Joy Cemetery. It is located on private property in Buchanan.
There are only two Beale markers here. Ballard Beale, who died at 5 months in 1867, was the son of W.B. and L.P. Beale. Charles T. Beale was born in 1806 and died in 1879.
Other names in this cemetery are Clowes, Heck, Kean, Leach, Powell, Richard and Wilson.
The earliest burial was Cornelia Wilson in 1835. She was the daughter of John S. and Sarah Wilson. Sarah Wilson, wife of John, died in 1846 at age 50.
Daniel Heck died in 1886. Elizabeth Heck died in 1897
Sarah Clowes died in 1835 at age 2.
Clara Kean died at age 29 in 1845. She was the wife of Dr. O.W. Kean.
James Leatch died in 1837.
Judith Powell was born in 1846 and died in 1926.
Mary Richard was born in 1808 and her death date is unreadable.
