Rowland – Davis Burying Ground
This burying ground is located about four miles east of Fincastle on Wheatland Road. It is on private property and was inventoried by WPA in 1936 and photographed by Daryl Reed in 2018.
Those buried here include:
William Davis was buried here in 1845 at age 5. He was the son of W.S. and E.G. Davis.
Eliza Davis, wife of W.S. Davis, died in 1859 at age 39.
Sarah Rowland, the wife of William Rowland, died in 1856.
Charles A. Thompson died in 1857 at age 22.
These are the only four markers noted in any survey.
