There are only three readable markers and about 10 grave sites unmarked in this old family burial ground. It was recorded in 1976 by George E. Honts III and listed as an “unnamed graveyard” recorded in “Botetourt County History before 1900 through County Cemetery Records.” In 2020 it was photographed by Daryl Reed and recorded as the McClure Cemetery by the landowner.
The known graves are as follows:
Mariah Belle McClure Smith was the wife of H.M. Smith. She died in 1900.
Fannie or Annie M. Stuard was born in 1849. She was the wife of G. W. Stuard. She died in 1888.
The infant child of G.W. and Fannie/Annie with no date.
George (G.W.) Stuard is not here as he remarried in 1894.
