The cemetery is located on Route 681 near Zion Hill Baptist Church in Fincastle.
There are nine family names visible: Burger, Evans, Jones, Lamb, Matheny, Nofsinger, Rinehart, Vass, and Wilhelm.
Some of the deaths are:
Lewis Burger was born in 1832 and died 1877.
Sallie Evans was born in 1873 and died 1901 along with her infant daughter Sallie who died 11 days later.
Florence Lamb was born in 1874 and died in 1896. She was the wife of E. E. Lamb.
Lydia Rinehart died in 1897 at age 97. She was living in the home of John Burger in 1850 at the age of 35.
David Jones was born in 1817 and died in 1883.
John Nofsinger was born in 1841 and died in 1899. He married Lydia Burger in 1865 in Botetourt County.
Minnie Taylor Vass was born in 1878 and died in 1903.
William W. Vass was born in 1838 and died in 1894. He was born in Amherst County to George Washington and Nancy Chapman Vass. He married Elizabeth Switzer in 1862 in Botetourt County. In the 1880 census they appear to have seven children. William W. Vass Pvt Co B 166 VA Militia Civil War Soldier.
Elizabeth Switzer Vass was born in 1842 and died in 1921 in Bath County. Loving Funeral Home transported her back to Botetourt County. She was the daughter of John and Polly Switzer.
Ann (Burger) Wilhelm was born in 1821 and died in 1892. She was married in 1842 to Jacob Wilhelm who was born in 1817.
