Jesse Hansen and Jake Dewease [SUBMITTED PHOTO]Former Lord Botetourt teammates Jesse Hanson and Jake Dewease were in uniform at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg for the annual “Commonwealth Cup” football game between the University of Virginia and Virginia Tech on December 12. Hanson (72, left) is a redshirt-freshman offensive lineman for the Hokies while Dewease (51, right) is a true freshman defensive back and special teams stalwart for the Cavaliers. The two enjoyed a lot of wins together during their days on the Daleville gridiron but on this day only one could come out a winner and that was the Hokies, who prevailed by a score of 33-15 to return the cup to Blacksburg after a one year stay in Charlottesville.
