Mr. and Mrs. John Blackburn have announced the graduation of their daughter, Katie Franke, from the University of South Carolina with a Doctorate in Philosophy in School Psychology. She completed her doctoral internship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Katie is a 2007 graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and a 2011 graduate of Washington and Lee University. She is a member of Chi Omega sorority and Phi Beta Kappa.
She and her husband, Greg, reside in Columbia, S.C., where she is now employed as Postdoctoral Fellow at the Autism Academy in Columbia and teaching at the University of South Carolina.
