Leonard C. “Chad” Goad, 47, of Daleville, passed away Monday, September 23, 2019.
Chad was born June 23, 1972 in Roanoke and lived in Daleville for 18 years. He was the son of the late Leonard M. Goad and Donna G. Boothe Nichols.
Chad was a truck driver for YRC Freight and was a member of Teamster Joint Council #83. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hiking, singing music, and his guitar.
In addition to his father, Chad is preceded in death by his grandparents and is survived by his wife Angie; son, Leonard Travis Goad, and daughter, Tessa Jean Goad, both of Daleville; his mother, Donna Boothe Nichols; and many other special people in Chad’s life.
A memorial service honoring Chad’s life was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 29 at Daleville Baptist Church, 375 Orchard Drive Daleville with Pastor Wes Belcher officiating. Chad’s family received friends at the church beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday.
