Virginia Tech and the University of Virginia both had big ACC football wins last Saturday as the Hokies defeated Louisville, 42-35, in Kentucky and the Cavaliers upset 15th ranked UNC, 44-41, in Charlottesville. Here, Khalil Herbert (top left) picks up some good yardage. and Tech quarterback Hendon Hooker (top right) scores one of his three rushing touchdowns in the win. Hooker rushed for 68 yards and completed all 10 of his passes for another 183 yards. At UVA, Brennan Armstrong (5, bottom left) passed for 208 yards in the Cavaliers’ win over North Carolina, including this 17-yard TD pass to tight end Tony Poljan (17, bottom right), who was able to reach the ball over the goal line for a third quarter score. This Saturday the Cavs host Louisville in an 8 p.m. game and Tech is home to in-state rival Liberty in a noon game in Blacksburg.
