The Town of Fincastle invites the community to the grand opening of the Big Spring Park Nature Trail this Saturday. The event will begin at 7 p.m. at the gazebo in Big Spring Park located at 108 Back Street in Fincastle. Following the opening ceremony, join the town and walk the quarter-mile trail and discover the new outdoor classroom located outside of Breckinridge Elementary School.
Following the grand opening celebration, the town will put on a fireworks display that was postponed following inclement weather on July 4. The VFW will be on hand selling hot dogs for guests. The fireworks will begin shortly after sundown.
