The GriefShare ministry will look different this spring at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Daleville. GriefShare will be offered online. Plans are in place to give participants access to the videos and workbooks. The group discussions will be offered on Zoom on Thursdays, beginning February 4, from 7 to 8 p.m. Call the church for more information at 992-3030.

Registrations are required and can be found on line at www.stmarksmethodist.com. Once you have registered, someone will be in touch with more details about getting a workbook and accessing the videos. If you have never used Zoom before, help will be provided.

Everyone experiences loss of loved ones through death. Sooner or later we will all walk the journey of grief. A quote from Healing Hugs says, “I think the hardest part of losing someone isn’t saying goodbye, but rather learning how to live without them, always trying to fill the void.” In order to find your way from mourning to healing and restoration you may find that sharing your journey with a small group of others going through the same thing can help. GriefShare is designed as a nondenominational program to help guide you through this season of grief with biblical, Christian principles and lessons. The group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and have successfully rebuilt their lives.

Everyone is welcome to join this 13-week small group, no matter how recently or long ago you experienced your loss. Participants have said, “I thought it might be depressing, but honestly it felt good to know I am not alone.”
