The Virginia Department of Health is asking all Botetourt residents to complete a community health assessment survey.

The purpose of the survey is to help the Health Department make the county a more healthy place to live, according to the announcement about the survey.

The survey includes a wide range of questions such as whether you think you exercise enough, where do you go to exercise, what health care services are hard to get in the Botetourt area, do your children use medical care services and, if so, what type and what location, did you get a flu shot last year, where do you get the food that you eat at home, how many times in the past week did you eat fruit/vegetables, etc.

The on-line link to the survey is:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2018_Botetourt_Health_Survey.

If you’d like to complete a paper copy, copies are available at the Botetourt County Health Department in Fincastle. All information is anonymous and confidential.

The surveys should be completed by April 13.
